Never forget your bicycle helmets when going for a ride

We all know the reasons we should be wearing bicycle helmets, don’t we? Our parents have harped on wearing our bicycle helmets since we were just little tykes playing around on our Mongoose model bikes. Even if we were just going out for a spin around the driveway, Mom still wanted us in our bicycle helmets.

A lot of us could probably still use Mom in the kitchen yelling at us to get our bicycle helmets, because a lot of us seem to be forgetting that wearing bicycle helmets is a necessity on any ride. We love suiting up in all of the latest cycling apparel and cycling gear, but those bicycle helmets still just look too frumpy for us when we’re out sprinting around the road. Bicycle helmets don’t have to look frumpy. In fact, now they often look as streamlined and polished as other cycling apparel.

And even if bicycle helmets did look frumpy, who cares? They’re the most important piece of cycling gear you can put on before a ride. They save your life. Let’s see your spandex bike suit do that! Even the shortest of rides should require bicycle helmets, particularly since statistics show that most accidents happen less than a mile from home. So pick up a few hot bicycle helmets, then get pedaling.
