When you think of biking, what comes to mind first? Road bikes, if you’re anything like many people. It’s what we first learn to ride when we learn to ride a bike. Our parents ride road bikes to take us out for a family outing. Road bikes are an essential part of American culture, and they continue to be an integral aspect of the cycling hobby itself.

Road bikes are what we look to when we want a bike to tool around town casually. We don’t want mountain bikes, we don’t want tons of cycling gear, we just want to feel the wind in our hair while we breeze around on road bikes. We want to teach our own kids to ride road bikes, just like our parents taught us. We may not have great ambitions of heading to bike week or some big show, but we’re happy with our road bikes.

And one of the great things about road bikes is that you have the flexibility for all of those great things. If you have road bikes and you want a ton of cycling gear, you can have it. There are plenty of lines of cycling gear for road bikes. If you want to go to bike week with your road bikes, you can do it and fit in without worrying about it. Hey, take your kids and your family! They can bring all of their road bikes, too!
